Palestinian civil defence crews in full personal protective equipment deliver potable water to homes affected by COVID-19 in the Jabalia Palestinian refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in the Jabalia refugee camp has worsened the already dire living conditions of the residents in the overcrowded camp, which lacks in a proper sewage infrastructure, has minimal access to electricity and a contaminated water supply. My name is Ahmad Hasaballah, a photojournalist based in Gaza, and a permanent member of the Palestinian Journalists Association. I’m 26 years old and my pictures have won several prizes and recognitions, including the second World Exposition of World Photographers 2017, Best Photo Press for 2017, XposureXPF 2018, Gallery of Slingshots and Stone achievement in 2016 and Communication Arts 2019. My photography began in 2015. My pictures have been published in international newspapers and agencies.
