My name is Soumyabrata Roy. I am a Tehatta-based Photojournalist. I have completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Sanskrit (2010-2013) language from ASUTOSH COLLEGE (University of Calcutta), India. Then I did a Diploma in Photography (2019) from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math (University of Calcutta) – Winning silver medal, Diploma with grade ‘A’ & rank 3rd in University. I am a present Freelance Photojournalist at NurPhoto Agency (L’Aquila, Italy) & Majority World Photo Agency, also working as a news video journalist for NurPhoto Agency Editorial Footage (Italy). I contribute Getty Images, Agence France-Presse (AFP), Associated Press (AP), and PA Images. I am one of the winners of the ‘Empowering women with sustainable energy’ photo contest organized by the European Union “EuropeAid-WOMEN-ENERGY” (Brussels).
