Recent years Bangladesh fight against the COVID-19 pandemic aside, Bangladesh is also struggling to face the flash floods. The socio-economic impact of COVID-19 is worsening due to flooding and pushing people into poverty. A majority of the population had become unemployed due to the pandemic, with vulnerable groups, such as daily wage workers, significantly impacted. Recent floods have left agricultural lands underwater, and most of the crops have been damaged. This photograph was taken on the date 23rd July 2020 in a rural village Manikganj, Bangladesh. Where the full village washed away by the flood, it was a worse situation for all people. In this photograph, Al Amin Mia is taking his wife to the hospital for child delivery, but due to flood all roads washed away and lack of transport, their only option was walk.
