Opening Forum: The truth revealed by photojournalism and documentary photography in our era

As part of the opening of our first-ever exhibition, a forum titled “The truth revealed by photojournalism and documentary photography in our era” was held at the MAF gallery on July 12, 2022.

Moderated by Suejin Shin, Director of MAF as well as POY Asia 2021 judge, the panelists included Ki Ho Park, artist and photographer; Joo-Suk PARK, Chairman of The Society of Korean Photography; Ho-Jae LEE, Chairman of The Korea Press Photographer’s Association; Wonsuk CHOI, Photo Editor at The Korea Times and POY Asia 2021 judge; Kay-Chin TAY, POY Asia Co-Director.

After presentations by a few of the panelists, a candid conversation about the state of photojournalism in Asia; representation; and newsroom structures continued.
