06 June 2023, Palestinian Territories, Nabi-Saleh: The mother of the 3-years-old boy Mohammed al-Tamim, who died of his wounds days after being shot by Israeli troops in the West Bank, carries his body during his funeral in the Nabi-Saleh village near the West Bank City of Ramallah.
36 year-old Gulendam Avcioglu was rescued under rubbles of a collapsed building 101 hours after the 7.7- and 7.6-magnitude earthquakes in Hatay. Her husband did not leave the rubble all that time and was more than happy to see his wife evacuated. Hatay, city in southern Turkey, was hit on February 6, 2023. The quakes took over 50,500 lives and left 105,000 injured. Around 14 million people have been affected by the quakes as well as many others in northern Syria. Search and rescue operations lasted for weeks. Over 11,300 personnel from 90 countries came to Turkey for help, including Austria, France, Mexico, and South Korea.
